FAQ

  • HOW INVOLVED DO I NEED TO BE?

The level of involvement is entirely up to you. I can handle everything from start to finish, or we can work collaboratively on every detail.

  • CAN I USE MY EXISTING FURNITURE?

Absolutely! I can incorporate your existing pieces into the design plan.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS?

I understand that design is a collaborative effort, and I welcome any necessary revisions. However, it's important to keep in mind that frequent changes and uncertainty can hinder progress. Your trust in my design decisions will greatly amplify the effect in your home. The more you stray from the design plan, the less impactful the result will be.

  • HOW DO YOU HANDLE ANY UNEXPECTED ISSUES OR CHANGES DURING A PROJECT?

With a lot of flexibility, strong communication, and problem-solving skills! I keep clients and trades informed. I assess the issue to gauge their impact on the project, timeline, budget and come up with solutions while also open to new ideas. Most importantly, keeping a positive attitude to foster team spirit to convert challenges into successes.

  • WILL YOU BE COORDINATING WITH CONTRACTORS & OTHER PROFESSIONALS?

If that is what you require, absolutely. I will compile a list of recommended contractors and arrange the first meet-and-greet to clarify their roles in the project for their bidding process. From that point on, I will collaborate with them throughout the entire process, ensuring that the work aligns with our design vision. However, please note that I do not oversee the trades directly.

  • HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CLIENTS OVER THE COURSE OF A PROJECT?

Initial consultations often take place in person or via video calls to establish a clear understanding of the client's vision, preferences, and budget. As the project progresses, I usually maintain regular contact through emails, phone calls, and text messaging to provide updates, share design drafts, and address any questions or concerns. Regular site visits and meetings may also be scheduled to review the project's development and make any necessary adjustments.

  • HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE INTERIOR DESIGN FIELD? HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD YOUR OWN FIRM?

I have been renovating homes since 2016. I initially focused on properties that my husband and I purchased for investments and received such positive feedback and requests to update homes that I initially found to be intimidating to do for others. But, finally decided offering my services in 2024.

  • WHAT IS YOUR BILLING STRUCTURE? HOW DO YOU CHARGE AND HOW OFTEN DO YOU INVOICE?

The cost will vary depending on the specific project and services required, whether it’s for an entire house or individual rooms. Here’s how I typically charge:

  • 10% of the entire project, per square foot or a flat fee depending on the project

  • Hourly rate for project management if needed
